Rent Paid: Inside the 6am Club
How Antonio K Moreno’s daily “rent paid” became the catchphrase of Midnight Mayhem fight camp, and the fighters getting up before dawn to pay theirs.

Every fight camp has a catchphrase. Ours started on 19 August with Antonio K Moreno posting a gym photo in the training chat: “Today’s rent paid ✅”. He’s been paying it ever since.
The rent spreads
It didn’t take long to catch on. Roger Redfearn-Tyrzyk started signing off his sessions the same way: “As Antonio says, rent paid 🫡 Have a great day ahead.” Rosa Kolkka joined in. Rob Fell admitted that every time Antonio posts it, he makes up some Llanito around it, Gibraltar’s mix of English and Spanish: “el rent ya está paid”. Antonio’s reply: “Spot on.” A few days later he was doing it himself: “Que pasa people, the rent is paid noh?”
Roger has fallen for it completely. “When the wife says that my obsession with getting punched in the face is growing out of control, you know you’re doing the right thing,” he said. Becky Johnson-Kent’s contribution: “Best way to meet people is getting punched in the face. For context, I met my husband boxing.”
The 6am club
Paying rent means early starts. Chris Anwyl and Antonio have been sparring together at 6am. “The 4.45am alarm doesn’t faze me anymore,” Chris said. “How times have changed.” Rob Fell: “Old bed time becomes new phys time.” Antonio’s only worry is for whoever gets Chris on fight night.
Lee summed it up: “Absolutely loving seeing everyone putting in the early morning graft. The skills are improving, the confidence is growing, and some of you are even starting to look like actual boxers! Every session counts. Midnight Mayhem is coming.”
