Where industry boxing began
Midnight Mayhem stands on the shoulders of the SBC Charity Boxing Championship, the white collar fight nights where gambling industry executives first laced up for charity in front of their peers. Lee was involved in all three, supporting the legendary Daniel Beard in organising them on behalf of Rob Dowling and Oliver’s Wish Foundation. Together, the three fight nights raised over £500,000 for Oliver’s Wish Foundation and the charities it supports.
Two of our own Advisory Board stepped through the ropes too: Michael Brady, trained by Lee, and Rob Fell, who took on Ben Cleminson of Square In The Air in 2026. Huge respect to everyone who fought.

Questions
Answers for fighters, Impact Partners and everyone coming along on the night.
Some FAQ for those stepping into the ring at Midnight Mayhem!
Do I need any boxing experience?
No. Most of our fighters have never boxed before. You’ll be matched with the right training and support for where you’re starting from.
Will I be safe?
Yes. You’ll be matched with an opponent at a similar level using WBC guidelines, trained properly in the lead-up, and medically supervised throughout. Safety comes first, always.
How long is the training period?
Training builds up over several months ahead of fight night, with structured sessions and coaching support throughout.
What if I’m scared or want to back out?
That’s completely normal. Most fighters feel this way at some point. Talk to your coach or one of the organisers early. We’re here to support you through the doubts, not just the training.
Can I choose a charity to support?
Yes. We ask each fighter to nominate a charity that means something to them personally. This might help with your reason why (and motivation on those tough mornings when you don’t want to get out of the car and go in for a sparring session!).
Do I need to involve my family or employer?
We encourage it. Having people around you who understand the journey… at home and at work… makes a real difference to how it feels. Build up and utilise your support network.
What happens after fight night?
The relationships, the growth, and often the charity partnership continue well beyond the night itself. It’s the start of something, not a one-off.
Answers for organisations considering an Impact Partnership with Midnight Mayhem.
What does becoming an Impact Partner actually involve?
A structured partnership built around four key conversations: a kick-off to align on goals, a session on storytelling and PR, a pre-event check-in, and a post-event wrap-up to capture impact.
Is this just sponsorship?
No. Sponsorship is usually one-way. This is a two-way partnership… we ask for genuine engagement, not just a logo and a cheque.
Do we need to nominate a charity?
Yes, we ask each partner to nominate a charity their people genuinely care about, which we’ll support together through the event.
What if one of our own people is fighting?
We’ll work with you directly to align your organisation’s story with your fighter’s story, so both come through clearly and consistently.
What do we get out of it, beyond the event itself?
Partners often see real impact on engagement, culture, and reputation… both internally with employees and externally with clients and talent. We help track this with you.
Who’s our point of contact?
We ask each partner to name one internal contact to liaise with us. They become our main link into your organisation throughout. And you will get a dedicated contact from the BTG team in return!
How is success measured?
Through a combination of impact reporting, stories from your people, and a small number of organisational metrics we agree together upfront. We would love to discuss if you have any CSR/ESG goals around this.
Answers for anyone planning to come along to Midnight Mayhem.
What is Midnight Mayhem?
A live boxing event where everyday people from across the gambling and iGaming space, not professional fighters, take on months of training and step into the ring for a cause bigger than themselves.
Is this just entertainment?
It’s entertainment with real stakes! Behind every fight is months of genuine personal transformation, and real money raised for real charities which mean something to those taking part.
Do I need to know anything about boxing to enjoy it?
Not at all. The night is built to be engaging whether you’re a boxing fan or have never watched a fight before.
Will there be opportunities to give back on the night?
Yes! Charity engagement is built into the event itself, not just a mention on a screen.
What should I expect, beyond the fights?
Moments of real story and reflection alongside the spectacle… it’s designed to move you, not just entertain you for a night.
Can I get involved beyond just attending?
Absolutely… many attendees go on to support the charities involved directly, or bring the experience back into their own organisations.
Where and when is the next event?
Midnight Mayhem takes place at La Paloma, Barcelona, during ICE Week on Tuesday 19 January 2027. Doors open at 9:00 PM.
